WeatherHawk offers you personal weather stations in two primary configurations to suit your needs:

A directly connected WeatherHawk weather station communicates using the RS-232 protocol. For cable lengths over 100 feet (34 meters), and up to 5000 feet (1534 meters) an RS-485 communications interface kit is available.

A Wireless WeatherHawk personal weather station can support one of three different radio frequencies: 916 MHz, 922 MHz, or 2.4 GHz.

What Computer System Do You Need to Set Up Your WeatherHawk?

For any Weather Hawk system that uses display software (Virtual Weather Station, or WeatherHawk-XP/X) , you'll need a host computer with these specifications:

The WeatherHawk-IP module does not require a host computer as it functions as a weather data server directly to an ethernet.
